Long Furlong - Autumnal Styled Shoot

Overview:

Back in September, I had a wonderful opportunity to host a styled shoot at Long Furlong Farm. With the season rapidly moving into Autumn, I decided to base this shoot on seasonal colours and reconnecting with outdoors.

The Scene:

Long Furlong Farm provides couples with a chance to run wild and create an area which is uniquely theirs. An area for you and your guests to be completely emersed by vibrant surroundings and disconnected from the outside world.

Using rustic picnic benches, crystal glassware and decorative brass ornaments we created a relaxed yet elegant wedding breakfast setting and reflecting Long Furlong’s rural landscape. Continuing this feel inside, we used white leather sofas, blankets, dark brown trunks, to  create an area which was cosy,  warm and perfect for guests to take a break from dancing and have a cup of coffee – ready to go again!

Cheese towers are becoming increasingly popular and we decided that this option would best suit the theme for this styled shoot. With the variety of wooden tones, paired with the soft greens and peacock feathers this area produced a true representation of the venue.

LOOK ONE: The Extra Special Guest

Fresh green grass, astonishing autumnal colours and a gorgeous black beauty echoed Long Furlong’s equestrian connections and turned this styled shoot into something truly magical. The contrast between our special guest’s dark coat the vivid reds, oranges and yellows, captured the true beauty and essence of including your horse on your big day.

With our stunning bride in a mid-length dress which fell gracefully along Joules’ back and side, showing the skirt’s gentle layering and creating a mystical effect. The remarkable and dazzling headband added a sense of innocence and bashfulness to the bride’s overall look.

Our groom turned out to be a real horse whisperer! Dressed in a sophisticated grey suit with a grey and orange waistcoat, he set an easy going and stylish tone for this shoot.

LOOK TWO: The Countryside Fairy tale

A more traditional but breath-taking look focusing on our bride’s statement dress. With a figuring hugging corset, extravagant skirt and intricate lace detailing it was the definition of elegance. Paired with a soft but classic hairstyle and headpiece tied the look together effortlessly. The bouquet was a striking and eye-catching feature, enhanced against the clean white colouring of the dress.

For the groom a simple navy suit, partnered with a grey and blue checked tweed waistcoat achieved a smart but relaxed look. To add a twist of individuality, we finished this look off with a co-ordinating bow tie.

LOOK THREE: REFINEMENT

Whilst we have focused on delivering a relaxed and informal look, this final dress proves the versatility of Long Furlong Farm. The dress is refined, delicate and exquisite and brings a touch of elegance to the occasion. The ensemble is completed with a striking and unique tiara, which is guaranteed to turn heads. The bronze and gold tones create the perfect median between the bright yellows and orange displayed in the spectacular bouquet.
